We will be showcasing the very best in French Craft Beer, across the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th of July 2018 at the iconic Circular Quay Sydney.

Frenchies Bistro and Brewery’s range of craft beer at Bastille Festival :

THE DRY BLOND

KÖLSCH is a refreshing classic beer from the German city of Cologne, where our head brewer Vince used to study. It is brewed with the finest noble hops, blending their flavours with gentle malt notes and a delicate fruitiness from fermentation. The finish is clean and dry.

THE FORGOTTEN HOPS

COMET hops is an old and wild American hops. It was used in lagers for its bold bittering properties but commercial production stopped in the 80s because of its complex flavours judged too intense. However, it is now making a comeback in this big US Pale Ale!

OLD WORLD : New flavours

OLD WORLD IPA is a unique IPA brewed exclusively with the newest French and German Hops. Flavours of berries, flowers and sauvignon blanc shine through this unique blend of hops. It is particularly smooth due to the use of oats combined with high quality bittering hops.

ASTROLABE:  Red Biere de Garde

BIERE DE GARDE is a style from Northern France, malty, strong in alcohol and with a lean body to enhance drinkability. Dark red in colour, it exhibits a toasty maltiness and caramelised flavours of dark stone fruits. This is the kind of beer that would have been drunk in large quantities by the sailors of the famous ship ASTROLABE who arrived in Australia just eight days after the first fleet.

The trend towards artisan beer has also started to shake up Australia’s beer market. More and more microbreweries are popping up all over the country, crafting delicious and innovative concoctions. At Bastille Festival Sydney 2018, we’ll be bringing selected tasty craft beers and ciders to Sydney beer lovers.

For Sydney craft beer lovers who travel around the world, sampling the food and drink from a new destination is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in another culture. Sydneysiders will be able to visit French breweries without the air ticket and taste a variety of local craft beers on the Bastille Festival Craft Beer Bar menu.
