Bastille Festival in The Rocks

BASTILLE FESTIVAL SYDNEY

From BBR Festival to Bastille Festival. The story behind the Food Wine Art Revolution

Bastille Festival Sydney was born BBR Festival in 2013 in front of the historical venue of Customs House in Sydney CBD. It was named after the three colours of the French flag “Bleu Blanc Rouge”, celebrating the French National Day “Bastille Day” as well as sharing the French way of life with Australian people.

In July 2018, BBR Festival will celebrate its 6th Anniversary and for the occasion will be renamed  “BASTILLE FESTIVAL SYDNEY”.

Over the past five years, this free annual event has become the most anticipated street gathering celebrating French Culture in the city and brings the very best things in life – FOOD, WINE and ARTS – right to the heart of Sydney.

Bastille Festival Sydney 2018 takes over the iconic Circular Quay, being held a few meters away from the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the Museum of Contemporary Arts Sydney.

Held over the Bastille Day weekend, from Thursday 12 July 2018 to Sunday 15 July 2018, the French will certainly keep the movement of celebrating FOOD WINE and ARTS, while at the same time, unifying people and countries behind the beautiful spirit of Bastille Day in a giant street celebration.

Bastille Festival Sydney sets up not only 4 food villages but 8 wine bars and beer gardens, 14 live concerts, 2 Dj sets, 1 cabaret show, 7 movie screenings on deck chairs, more than 40 street live performances all day and night from circus to country-folk dances and music.

Come and visit Bastille Festival Sydney over the weekend and experience a wonderful journey of street celebration, the French way!
