About the artist :
Christelle is a Pop/Soul/Jazz Singer who has been singing since her young age as she comes from a musical family. Most of her family members are either songwriters/composers/singers and/or musicians.
Christelle released her first song in Australia in July last year entitled “Peace & Love” which was written by Roberto Fabian, in response to the terrorist attacks than happened last year in Paris. She also released 2 songs back in France : one Caribbean song : ‘De l’avant’ and one soft Pop song ‘Parle moi’. After doing lots of TV shows such as Pop Idol and the Voice, she has passed the audition to be a part of the American choir – GOSPEL FOR 100 VOICES. Since then, she has been touring in whole Europe with them for 3 years before she decided to come to Australia to work on new projects.
You might know Gospel for 100 voices as they ended 2nd finalist at Britain’s got talent.
Since she has been in Australia, she has been working with different artists/musicians and been performing all over Australia, Europe, New Caledonia and Thailand in August this year. She is singing in several French restaurants as well, throughout Sydney, including les Gourmandise de Paris where she has a monthly gig since 2 years now. Her capability to sing in different languages is amazing and she believes music has no barriers. Able to sing Soul, Jazz, Gospel, French and International Variety as well, allows her to perform in diverse events.
During the Festival, Christelle will be accompanied by Steban Galeano who is a Guitarist/Bassist playing at the famous Cuban Place every week. His music adds a Latin flavour to any songs he plays.
